Kevin Mercuri holds more than twenty years’ experience in public relations and related disciplines. His career ranges from board rooms to basement start-ups and the Nation’s Capital.
Prior to founding Propheta, Kevin served as senior vice president for 5W Public Relations where he played a key role in the agency’s ascension from boot-strap start-up to an Inc 500 company. His additional leadership experience includes Edelman’s PR21 and other noteworthy agencies.
Prior to working in New York, Kevin led public affairs campaigns in Washington, DC for the Internet Alliance, the Interactive Gaming Council and other special interest groups.
During his tenure with the Internet Alliance, Kevin worked with a wide range of technology leaders from AOL to Bell Atlantic to Citibank’s nascent online banking division. During the early dot com era, he and his team created industry standards for the online banking and gaming industries while routinely introducing fledgling technologies to business and consumer audiences.
A graduate and former adjunct faculty at Emerson College, Kevin holds a master’s degree in communications and sits on the board of several companies and charitable organizations.
